Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, Hawaii.

The site presented
formidable engineering challenges: proximity to the ocean, hard
volcanic rock, and groundwater just two feet below the surface.
Working with NPS personnel,
ACS installed an attractive prefabricated building that features a
low-gradient ramp to provide handicapped access to the two odorless,
zero-discharge Phoenix composting toilets.
The facility ended a
nightmare for the park's managers and visitors. In the absence of a
public toilet, the trail to the park;'s isolated, but popular, beach
was strewn with human feces -- a sanitation nightmare and aesthetic
disgrace.
